Goodmorning everyone,
Proverbs 15:22 'Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.'
Thanks Brenda for your serving heart at my birhtday party and for being willing to give up your desire to play tennis for the party. I am deeply touched by this and I realise that true love is sacrifice and being willing to give up our TIME which is so hard to do in Hong Kong sometimes as life is so busy.
This scripture really stands out for me today because Connie my discipler pointed it out in my character yesterday. I think to myself that I 'inform' others of my plans and that others will just be okay and go along with that but in God's eyes this is not really inviting others to help me in my life. As I am independent it's easy to fall short of this and to let it slip by. I make it my goal in my dating relationship and in my relationships with my current b.t sisters and in the new b.t to ask others 'what they think' of my plan first before I just 'jump' in and make a decision on what 'I' want to do. As Brenda reminded us in her sharing that it's easy for us to give into our own desires because it feels good but how does this impact on our relationship with others around us.
Thanks Connie Ho for showing this in my character yesterday. The people that love us the most will not be afraid to tell us the truth and what we need to change in our characters.
I hope all of us can be more united and warm in our relationships with others. We should not be motivated to ask others about our plan out of getting 'permission' like from a master. But we are motivated by love to ask others input because we want others to be more involved in our lives and help us to change.
Have a fruitful day everyone.
Love Shelley
