"...is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected..." Hebrews 12:16-17
"有貪戀世俗如以掃的;他因一點食物把自己長子的名分賣了。後來想承受父所祝的福,竟被棄絕…" 來 12:16-17
Sometimes we have our own desires. We just think: be lazy a little while, or just be myself for a while..... We think we have time, we have another chance, or we will be back even we leave for a while. However, at that time, we lose the most important thing.
Sometimes I want to be willful.... but God tells me that I need to keep the standard and prepare for His blessing, just like the 5 wise virgins in Luke 25:1-13
Time is less. What is your choice?
Blessings,
Annie

2011 Jan 18 - Faith needs to be testified - Andy
Faith needs to be testified
Today, I did not read the Psalms I planned to read. As the sunday's football match still up into my head.
It was a super fightback that 9-men Citizens beat Legency South China in penalty, from 3 goals behind!
The most inspiring things capture men's interest in football is you do not know what would happen at the end of the matches, even if you have a perfect start and lead.
My focus point (of course not the bad foulings), is on what Citizens' goal-keeper, Tse Dak Him, had done.
Losing 3 goals in the first 30 minutes, it is incredible that you still have the faith on winning, and you continue to try your best to keep saving the next shotssssssss.
Patiently waiting your teamates (which by far being "controlled" due to the great different of their ability) to score back.

2011 Jan 18 - Isaiah 25 - Shelley
Isaiah 25:9 'In that day they will say, surely this is our God; we trusted in him and he saved us. This is the Lord we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.'
Goodmorning all,
It is slightly warmer today than yesterday and I am grateful for that. In Ma Wan and Tsuen Wan when the wind blows you can really feel it in your bones but today when I went out for my early morning jog I could feel that today would be slightly warmer.
Today's scripture really inspired me to be so grateful for God's loving kindness towards me. throughout my 14 years as a disciple when I faced my ups and downs. Last night I reflected on some of the painful times I went though as an early disciple and also when I was a weak disciple. I am so grateful that God saved me from so much harm before as I did some stupid mistakes and fell short of Him but I decided to hold fast to His love and trust Him more and also learned to forgive myself of some of things that had happened in my past. God is gracious to all of us and when we wait for His direction and don't give up trusting him in hard times. He will also use situations and disciples to train us to be stronger disciples and grow more and more. God is faithful and he will give us more than we ever imagined possible.
Annie thanks for your deep sharing. I asked Eva last night to translate to me into English and I felt very touched by it. I will share more with you when I have the dinner with you all on Thursday night.
Great to hear Brenda that you witness a baptism in Melbourne. It's encouraging to see so many of God's churches grow across the world. I always feel inspired when I go back to Johannesburg and see how the church is growing there too. Enjoy your time over in Aussie.
I hope to go out sharing my faith with Ivy today on PolyU as both of us will finish our school earlier today since the students are writing their exams! So happy to have this chance and I hope that the students on campus will be willing to come out to this coming Sunday when we hand out the invites to them.
Have a great day everyone and remember God is watching you all and wants to keep showering His love so let's rejoice and be glad in Him today.
Love Shelley
2011 Jan 18 - Ephesians 1 - Brenda
Ephesians 1:18-20
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
Morning everyone!!!
How are you guys! Saw you all on facebook doing the wonderful job for Hope as to be the volunteer, good on you! And I had a much relax time watching Australia Open yesterday With my Tennis friend from Hong kong Fiona, we had great fun and afterwards we had dinner with Fiona's parents here in Melbourne as her parents live in Melbourne.
2 days ago Joey sent me an email saying that she's discharged from the hospital already, she and her dad are recovering well and I just thank God that we just couldn't how great his power is. Not long ago her dad was in a critical conditional suffering liver cancer and liver failure but now after the long long surgery of Joey's donation of her liver to her dad, they are both well and recovering.
Also 2 days ago it was Sunday after church 2 souls were baptised into the body of Christ, one single woman and one teens, I could witness the baptism first time in Melbourne church and I am glad that they have a very good start this year. Praise the Lord!
For me sometimes I can do or try to do whatever I can think of myself or within my limitation, but I just need to let God and pray to God letting his power working in me and our ministry. And this time of the year I can enjoy my holiday and in the meantime I am glad that I am off anything just stay focus listening to God's voice and praying to him and seek his further advice to my future goal and career.....
Love you and have a great day there in HK!
Brenda
