2011 Feb 24 - Acts 12 - Andy

Dear all,

Nice weather continue ^^! Hope everyone enjoy!

Acts 12:19 - 26

"The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch." v 26b

What is your feeling when someone call you Christians?

It did make Paul and Barnabas a great effort to make others think they are Christians, follower/ imitator of God, from their hearts, after a year in the mission team.

It is not easy to life out in a Christian way, for a whole year (or longer), but what Bible describe about Barnabas in v23,24: He was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, in Chinese "恆久靠主".
It teaches me that how others think we acts like a Christian, is looked that how much we remain true to the Lord with our hearts.

How about what is Christians means to me?
As it said, Christ - ians, a member in the God's kingdom, inside we follow God/ Jesus's way, law and share his message. But to me, it means more then that, to me it means putting Jesus as our role-model (o sorry, not Klara, who claimed to be Ro-mode 界女神  XD)
we can imitator God and Jesus, and we can grow, grow and grow until the end of the world.

When looking to the potential of being better and better, I feel very happy and encouraged to be a Christian, surely the advantures of growing in characters are the most exciting and challenging stuff in the world.^^

The three most I would like to imitate Jesus are:
1. A discipline life with well-lanning manner.
2. Stand firm - especially towards/ in/for God's word
3. Well prepared to love - he saves life not by his power alone, but with a always-ready sincere heart.

Hope everyone to find a joyful heart when looking to the potential of growth, and view lighter to the current burden facing.

"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2

I will read Psalms tmr ^^

Cheers,
Andy
