2010 Jan 03 - Ephesians 6 - Andy

Dear all,

Love to read your convictionssssssssssssssssss!

After sleeping nearly the whole sunday and wake up in the morning today, i read this. (Finish Ephesians, then I would finish my old scriptures bible reading resume from Pslam 90)

Ephesians 6:6
"Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart."
This time I like the Chinese version better.
"不要只在眼前侍奉,像是討人喜歡的,要像基督的僕人,從心裏遵行神的旨意"。
What is my attitude in finishing a task? What is my intention of doing so? And how about my acts when ppl not arround me?

Three questions arose on my head. I easily get into the trap that aiming to "get the jobs done because it need to, as _________ said".
So, actually doing tasks in fear, but not with a wholehearted spirit.
Even in some "spiritual duty", find someone to QT, spend time
is it coming from my heart or just to win someone's favor?
For the later, it won't give you any joy, but only tireness, and it is also affected by how others response.
It is a very alerting msg read today.
As my discipler always reminds me, Proverbs 4:23 "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life."

Finally typed the words with struggle haha (read on morning but type at night)
Have a good night! Tmr is a cold day,Remember to dress more!

Brenda, have a nice journey.
Cat, Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love in Christ
Andy
